Post-Construction Cleaning: The 3-Phase Process Explained

The build is finished, the crew has packed up — and a fine gray film is on every surface you look at. After a renovation or new build, ordinary dusting barely makes a dent, because construction leaves behind a very specific kind of mess that settles into every crack and vent. Why Construction Dust Is Not Ordinary Dust

Drywall sanding, cutting, and demolition produce ultra-fine particles — including silica — that stay airborne for hours and settle deep into carpet, vents, and the tops of trim. Breathed in over time, fine silica dust is a genuine health hazard, which is why a jobsite clean needs proper equipment, not just a broom and a shop vac.

Phase 1: The Rough Clean

The first pass clears the bulk. We remove leftover debris, stickers and labels, large dust piles, and any construction trash, then sweep and vacuum the whole space so the fine-detail work has a clean slate. This is also when we pull tape and protective film left on windows and fixtures.

Phase 2: The Detail Clean

This is the heart of the job. We work top to bottom — light fixtures, ceiling fans, vents, cabinet interiors, trim, baseboards, window tracks, and every surface that caught settling dust. Using HEPA filtration that captures 99.97% of fine particles, we actually remove dust from the home rather than pushing it around. Drywall dust, sawdust, paint overspray, adhesive residue, and fingerprints all come off here.

Phase 3: The Final Polish

The last phase makes it move-in ready: glass and mirrors streak-free, fixtures and hardware polished, floors cleaned to their finished shine, and a final walkthrough to catch anything missed.
